Thanksgiving Food Collection

Thanksgiving Food Collection

Our church’s Christian Action Committee (CAC) is busy making plans to provide Thanksgiving food to our neighbors in need. There are two ways to contribute: (1) purchase nonperishable food items and place them in a sturdy, re-usable, grocery bag and/or (2) make a cash (or check) donation for the purchase of Shop Rite gift cards to allow families to purchase fresh food to supplement the nonperishable food items in their bags. (Please note that cash or check is preferred so that the CAC may purchase the gift cards using the church’s tax-free number.) This has been a long-standing tradition of Spring Glen Church. Last year we were able to help over 35 families to have a Happy Thanksgiving!

CAC members will be at Fellowship Hour on October 14 and October 21 with a list of local families to help and a recommended grocery list. We thank you for your continued support!

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to provide a donation for a gift card or a Thanksgiving bag for a family of 2, 3, 4, or 5    people, please do not hesitate to contact Janet Morrison: janetmorrison123@aol.com. Food donations will be collected by Sunday, November 4.
