Women's Retreat at Elim Park - Cheshire, CT

Come explore what it means to open our hearts to God’s graces and gifts as we encounter the joys and challenges of our lives. We will explore Scripture stories, share our experiences and wisdom, and share lunch together. 

 

Welcome to the Women’s Retreat, “Becoming A Wild Hearted Woman:  Courage and Hope for the Living of These Days” which will take place Saturday, November 10th from 9am - 1:30 pm at Elim Park Place, 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire. 

 

We look forward to a time of relaxation, renewal, friendship and fun! Our retreat leader, the Rev. Donna Manocchio is known for her inspired leadership. She has planned a time for large and small group interaction based on biblical themes of wisdom. Our time together includes prayer, conversation, ritual and a shared meal.  We all have wisdom to share and drawing from scripture, we learn that “ God love nothing so much as the one who dwells in wisdom.” May we gain in connection with each other and with God, through this special day! 

 

Some practical matters to consider:

 

Parking at Elim Park is very tight. It’s recommended to car pool from the church parking lot, and to count on about 20 minutes to drive there. Please directly contact others on the email distribution list to arrange a car pool. 

 

Click HERE for a map which will help you find a spot and navigate the buildings. We are meeting in the Multi- Purpose Room (MPR) which can be a few minutes walk from the overflow parking. 

 

Our schedule starts with coffee/tea service from 9 am and will start the program promptly at 9:30. Lunch will be served at 1pm and our time together ends by 1:30 pm.  

 

Please let us know by Monday, 11/5 if you have any dietary restrictions.

 

Please bring a journal or notebook. And dress for relaxation and comfort. No need to bring drinks or snacks as they are provided. Of course chocolate is always welcome! 

 

If you have not yet had the opportunity to send a check, ($30) please do so this week or bring it to the retreat.
