A very warm welcome to....

Tim and Erin Trama:

We have been happily married for 13 years and live in Spring Glen with our two children, Charlotte (11) and Delaney (7), and our dog Tucker. Tim is a 6th grade teacher and Erin is a Physical Therapist. After attending Quinnipiac University, we moved back to Hamden a few years after graduation and have lived in the community ever since.

Morgan Aery:

I was baptized into the United Church of Christ at North Guilford Congregational Church by former CT UCC Conference Minister Kent Siladi. Later, my family began worshipping at First Church Guilford where I was confirmed and active in Pilgrim Fellowship. As a child, I attended Silver Lake Conference Center, later volunteering as a counselor, dean and serving on summer staff. After college, I served as the Director of Christian Education at North Madison Congregational Church and then at First Church of Christ, Woodbridge. I currently live in East Haven with my puppy Carver where I work from home for Liberty Mutual and spend my free time working on my home, gardening, reading, and running to Lighthouse Point Park. I look forward to joining Spring Glen Church as a member of the community and hope to share my faith journey with the diverse and multigenerational congregation.

Kathy Donovan:

I was born and raised in Waterbury, Ct. and have previously lived in New Haven and Milford.  I am a UCONN grad and have completed some graduate work at Fairfield U.  I am divorced, have two grown children and anticipate the arrival of my first grand child in late March.  The year 2019 was a very busy and fulfilling year for me as I retired from Jonathan Law HS in Milford, sold my Milford home, moved to an apartment in Whitneyville, and found Spring Glen UCC.  All of these decisions have worked out well for me.I especially enjoy the outdoors, reading a good book, sewing and quilting, baking, spending time with friends and family, walking as a way to stay healthy and discover Hamden and surroundings, and watching movies.  I can’t wait until we return to pre-COVID status so that I can enjoy all my favorite pursuits and, who knows, find others.  Anyone up for teaching me pickle ball when we’re back to normal?I’m eager to join Spring Glen after drifting in and out of Catholicism for many, many years.  My introduction to SGUCC has been very fulfilling, my welcome from Church members very touching, and I look forward to joining.

Susan Gooley:

I am recently retired this year from my restaurant and catering business Le Petit Gourmet after 35 years. Our daughter Bree and her husband live in Farmington with our 2 yr old granddaughter Riley Rose. I am also a long time former member of the Church of the Redeemer and am interested in joining the Spring Glen Church community along with many of our other former Redeemer members.

Diane Lewis:

I am interested in art, writing, sewing and needlework, upcycling textiles and objects. I am never bored. After careful consideration, I look forward to participating in the life and community of Spring Glen Church. My faith comes to me by way of personal encounter with God.

Barb Nangle:

Barb was a lifelong agnostic until the age of 37 when she read Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh. Very soon after she became a Unitarian Universalist but left after about 10 years to join the United Church on the Green as a UCC  about 10 years ago. She worked for many years at Yale and now has her own coaching and consulting business. She's also a member of two 12-step recovery fellowships, which has exponentially expanded her spiritual life and her relationship with God. She loves thinking, learning, laughing, growing and people. Her mission in life is to create healing for those who suffer and bringing marginalized voices of every kind to the mainstream.

Chuck Peterson:

I first attended church at the Jackson Presbyterian in Jackson Missouri as a young lad running across the yard getting green grass stains all over my pants...born 1958.Next, I attended a very large Presbyterian church in Webster Groves, near St. Louis. During high school I attended McLean Presbyterian near Washington DC. 1976. I’ve enjoyed a long photography career, from my teenage years, thru college, thru film studios, thru the transition of film to digital, to today’s world of photography in your hands. In 2014 I became a member of Redeemer, and participated with more success gardening than plumbing or excel spreadsheets. It’s been wonderful to be met, and greeted, and prayed for, by the Spring Glen Church community. Thank you. I like this place! Happy to have been meeting everyone before COVID-19 moved us online.

Katie Sichau:

Hi there! My name is Katie Sichau (center). I am a wife (to Jessica), a mother (to Elliott), a data scientist, an embroiderer and someone who is eager to be back in a church community (something that has been missing in my life since I left Chicago in 2013). I am most excited for the fellowship with other members. As a member of the LGBTQ family, I am looking forward to being a member of a community that not only accepts my family but celebrates our uniqueness and appreciates our “sameness.” While only I am joining (for now), Jessica and Elliott will be attending with me as much as they can. I look forward to worshipping with you (on Skype for now!)
