God, you are full of surprises. Sometimes we think we know exactly where you’re supposed to be and what you’re supposed to be doing. Forgive us our disbelief when we don't find you in the tomb where we left you. Let that empty tomb be a reminder that you are out in the world, hard at work bringing life to oppressed, love to the forgotten, shelter to the lost, hope to the weary, and resurrection with every rising sun. In the name of the one who raises us out of lifelessness and complacency, Jesus of Nazareth, Our Friend and Unexpected Savior, Amen.
