Welcoming Rev. Barbara Frey as our Christian Education Coordinator

More good news!  It is with joy that we write to inform you that the Rev. Barbara Frey has accepted our offer to serve as the next CE Coordinator for Spring Glen Church!
 
Barb brings over 30 years of experience in faith formation and Christian education to her role.  Her impressive CV includes a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southern, an M.A. in Lay Ministry/Biblical Studies from Hartford Seminary and an M.Div. equivalent from Yale Divinity School.

Most recently serving as the Associate Pastor of Faith Formation at Monroe Congregational Church, Barb has worked as a consultant for churches looking to revitalize their ministry with children and families and to develop opportunities for intergenerational programming.  She served for nearly 14 years as Associate Pastor at First Church of Christ in West Hartford and a decade as Commissioned Minister of Christian Education at Kensington Congregational Church.

At this point in her career, Barb has expressed a keen desire to focus on faith formation/Christian education for all ages.  She viewed the opening at Spring Glen Church as a perfect opportunity! (We couldn’t agree more!)

Barb will join us in her new capacity on Sunday, May 15.  Please take the time to introduce yourself and welcome her aboard!
