January 2018 Annual Meeting

The Spring Glen Church Annual Meeting will be held after worship on Sunday January 28, 2018, to receive and vote on the budget for 2018, and on Vision Committee recommendations for the use of Ministry and Building Endowment income.  An update on the status of our Pastoral Relations Team will be provided.  We will hear an update on plans being considered for the usage of our toddler rooms following the closure of SGNS.  In addition, the congregation will vote on a  Resolution on Racial Justice Training to be brought to the CTUCC Conference, if passed.  If bad weather interferes, the meeting will be held the following Sunday, February 4, 2018.  Childcare will be provided.

 

As in past years, in advance of our January Congregational Meeting, we will hold a Second Hour to discuss the proposed 2018 Budget. Please join us in the Fellowship Room at 11:30 on Sunday, January 21 for this conversation.

 

Please join us in the Fellowship Room at 11:30 on January 14 to introduce and entertain discussion on a Resolution that will be presented for a Congregational vote at our Annual Meeting on January 28.  The Resolution will propose mandatory Racial Justice training for UCC ministers, with the purpose of raising awareness in the clergy community of racial injustice and providing them with skills, tools and resources to address these injustices in their congregations and communities.  More information, including the complete resolution to be voted on, will be provided in upcoming communications.
